Privacy Policy

The short version

We do not ask for your name, email or any account. The PDF files you open and the numbers you type into the calculators are processed inside your own browser and are never sent to us. We use Google Analytics to understand which pages are useful, and we serve advertising, both of which set cookies. That is the whole of it — the detail below explains each point.

Information we do not collect

Your files

The PDF link extractor runs entirely in your browser. Your document is read into memory on your own device, parsed there, and the resulting spreadsheet is generated there. The file is never uploaded, never transmitted, and never stored by us — we have no copy of it because one is never created.

Your calculator inputs

Every calculation happens in your browser as you type. The loan amounts, weights, heights, dates and other values you enter are not transmitted to us or to anyone else, and are not stored anywhere after you close the page.

Accounts and personal details

There is no sign-up, no login and no contact form. We hold no database of users because we collect no user records.

Information that is collected

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-C770NN3DLC) to see which pages people visit and roughly where in the world they are. This tells us which tools are worth improving. Google Analytics sets cookies and processes data such as your approximate location, device type, browser, referring page and the pages you view. It does not tell us who you are, and we never combine it with anything else.

You can opt out entirely with Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on, or by blocking cookies in your browser. The tools continue to work normally either way.

Advertising

We display advertising to keep the tools free. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to our site and elsewhere on the internet.

You may opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings, or opt out of third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info/choices. You will still see ads; they will simply be less relevant.

Server logs

Our hosting providers keep standard server logs — IP address, timestamp, requested URL and user agent — for security and diagnostics. These are retained for a limited period and are not used to build any profile of you.

Our bill checker is different — please read this part

Our electricity bill checker at billcheck.pdftolinks.com is the one tool that does transmit what you type. To retrieve a bill, the reference number or consumer ID you enter is sent from our server to the official PITC (Power Information Technology Company) billing platform, and the bill it returns is displayed back to you.

We do not store these lookups or the bills returned. But your reference number is necessarily shared with PITC, which operates under its own policies and is outside our control. If that is not acceptable to you, please do not use that tool.

Cookies

Cookies on this site come from Google Analytics and from advertising. We set no cookies of our own for tracking, and we store nothing in your browser’s local storage.

You can delete or block cookies through your browser settings at any time. None of the tools require cookies to function.

Children

These tools are intended for a general audience and are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data held about you. Since we hold no personal data — no accounts, no files, no calculator inputs — there is generally nothing for us to retrieve or erase. For data held by Google Analytics or Google advertising, please use Google’s own controls linked above.

Changes

If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after a change indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
